Sente Meets with Community Faith Leaders to Increase Collaboration

“These breakfasts gather people from different walks of life, who have different beliefs, traditions and views,” Sente said. “But what one quickly realize is that we all have similar values, such as a relentless drive to take care of the poor, sick and elderly; an aspiration to help the environment; and a vision for a more just society.”

Sente was joined by Imam Azfar Uddin of Islamic Foundation North in Libertyville, Pastor Mark Selbo of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Mundelein, Rabbi Ari Margolis of Congregation Or Shalom in Vernon Hills, Rabbi Ilana Baden of Temple Chai in Long Grove, Deacon Ken Flaks of Ivanhoe Congregational Church in Mundelein, and Pastor Jim Andrews of Hope Lutheran Church in Long Grove.
