Sente to be Featured in Dialogue on Small Business Growth

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - To bring the needs of small businesses to the forefront of economic development discussions, state Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, will be featured in a Small Business Roundtable on Monday, July 6 at Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc., located at 625 Forest Edge Drive in Vernon Hills. A free continental breakfast and networking session will be held at 8:30 a.m., with the roundtable discussion beginning promptly at 9 a.m.

“As a public servant, it is important that I am actively engaged with our district’s business leaders in order to identify their needs and ensure Illinois continues to be the state they call home,” Sente said. “The best way for us to have these conversations is by regularly visiting facilities of all sizes, hosting public discussions and maintaining an open line of communication on the impact proposed changes could have on the business community.”

The event is sponsored by the GLMV Chamber of Commerce and will also feature U.S. Rep. Bob Dold. Small business owners and representatives are invited to attend the discussion focused on the current economic climate and how units of government can serve as stronger partners in their success. Due to space limitations, attendees are asked to call Sente’s full-time constituent service office at 847-478-9909 or email to reserve a seat.
